\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\"\"<\/a>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0If<\/strong>\u00a0I recall correctly, the beginning of each Superman episode began with,\u00a0\u201cFaster than a Speeding Bullet, More Powerful than a Locomotive, Able to Leap Tall Buildings in a single bound.\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0 After the results of Liberty Tour Track & Field Championships, I find myself a bit confused.\u00a0 The\u00a0Glencadia Bullets<\/strong>\u00a0from the Adirondack Association were able to rack up enough points to win this meet, but did not do so by dominating the Sprints (Speed), or the Throws (Power), and they were not very successfully in leaping over the High Jump Bar, let alone Tall Buildings.\u00a0 They did, however, make a true\u00a0TEAM<\/strong>\u00a0effort of the day, led by one of their oldest members,Jonathan Quinby<\/strong>\u00a0(Pictured Above),<\/em>\u00a0as he scores 10 points for the Glencadia Bullets with this throw of the Javelin (32.45m), which was 1st Place in the Intermediate Boys division.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0To<\/strong>\u00a0be sure to take full advantage of the opportunity, Head Coach of the Bullets,\u00a0Chris Volney<\/strong>, was eager to express his excitement over his team\u2019s accomplishments, as he spread around the accolades to each of the team members, their Parents, and even to some of the opposing competitors.\u00a0\u00a0\u201cWe are so excited about our accomplishment here today\u201d,<\/strong>\u00a0exclaimed Volney.\u00a0 He adds,\u00a0\u201cOur team has had this meet in our sights, since we first learned that Ichabod Crane would be the host for the State Track & Field Championships.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0The<\/strong>\u00a0competition was stiff most of the day, but it was difficult to compete with Bullets in the Relays, as they dominated that part of the meet winning five (5) of the Relay events.\u00a0 In the end it was\u00a0Glencadia<\/strong>\u00a0at the top with a score of\u00a0208 points<\/strong>, followed by the\u00a0Metro Lightning<\/strong>\u00a0with\u00a0165 points<\/strong>.\u00a0 Third place belonged to the\u00a0Delmar Whippets<\/strong>\u00a0with\u00a0121 points<\/strong>, who just edged out the\u00a0Country Mills Eagles<\/strong>\u00a0who rounded out the top four (4) spots with\u00a0111 points<\/strong>.\n\t\t
