Constitution Classic
Marissa Fiacco<\/p><\/div>\n

An Eagle<\/strong> learns to soar by using Thermal Currents<\/strong> of air.\u00a0 These warm air patterns are created by the surrounding terrain.\u00a0 Eagles<\/strong> will spread their Wings<\/strong>, and their Tail Feathers<\/strong>, allowing the wind to carry them to new heights.\u00a0 Soaring saves an Eagle<\/strong> energy, because it does not have to flap its Wings<\/strong> as often.<\/p>\n

It was certainly Warm<\/strong> at the Constitution Classic<\/strong>, and the Terrain<\/strong> was a Track & Field Facility<\/strong> built for Performance<\/strong>.\u00a0 On this day, the Eagles<\/strong> soared to 1st<\/sup> Place<\/strong> in the Liberty Tour Team Standings<\/strong> with Great Performances<\/strong> by many Athletes<\/strong>.\u00a0 In addition to taking 1st<\/sup> Place<\/strong> in the Girls<\/strong> (15-16) Long Jump<\/strong>, Marissa Fiacco (Pictured Above<\/em><\/strong>) set a new Country Mills Eagles Record<\/strong> (4.53m) in that Event<\/strong> by toppling Meredith Cully\u2019s previous Record<\/strong> of 4.28m<\/strong> set back in 2006<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Patriots Invitational<\/p><\/div>\n

Arianna Mills fulfilled every bit of the word \u201cSoaring\u201d<\/strong> when she flew into the Record Books<\/strong> in the Girl\u2019s High Jump<\/strong> (11-12) clearing 1.30m<\/strong>, surpassing the previous Record<\/strong> of 1.25m<\/strong> set by Shannon Lenzi back in 2006<\/strong>.\u00a0 Arianna also set a Constitution Classic Record<\/strong> in the Turbo Javelin<\/strong> with a toss of 22.25m<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Liberty Tour Track Meet<\/p><\/div>\n

Although he did not enter the Record Books<\/strong>, as yet, in the Long Jump<\/strong>, Jae-cion Boyd set a new PR<\/strong> in the Long Jump<\/strong> with a leap of 4.21m<\/strong> taking a commanding 1st<\/sup> Place<\/strong> finish in that Event<\/strong>.\u00a0 Moreover, he took 1st<\/sup> Place<\/strong> in both the 100m<\/strong> and 400m Events<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Liberty Tour Track Meet<\/p><\/div>\n

Taking 1st<\/sup> Place<\/strong> in both the Girl\u2019s<\/strong> (15-16) 100m<\/strong> and 200m Events<\/strong> was Berlinda Fleurimond.\u00a0 She also set a PR<\/strong> in the Long Jump<\/strong> (4.12m).\u00a0 Furthermore, she is the Start Leg<\/strong> of the Girl\u2019s <\/strong>(15-16) 4 x 100m Relay Team<\/strong>, which set a Constitution Classic Record<\/strong> in that Event<\/strong> (along with her teammates Marissa Fiacco, Olivia Berkman, Ana Van Plew) in just their first competition with a time of 57.08<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Liberty Tour Track Meet<\/p><\/div>\n

Helena Rodriguez came, dangerously, close to setting the Girl\u2019s<\/strong> (17-18) Record<\/strong> in the 800m Run<\/strong>, but did take 1st<\/sup> Place<\/strong> in both the 800m<\/strong> and 1500m Events<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Alana Burden took 1st<\/sup> Place<\/strong> in the Girl\u2019s <\/strong>(17-18) 100m Dash<\/strong> with a time of 13.26<\/strong>, which just happens to be a new PR<\/strong> for her, too.\u00a0 As a side note, Alana also set a Constitution Classic Record<\/strong> in the Girl\u2019s<\/strong> (17-18) Discus Throw<\/strong> with a heave of 31.97m<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
