\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Since she was a couple of months old, her Legs<\/strong> would KICK<\/strong> up a Storm!<\/strong>\u00a0 Blankets seldom stayed on her body, and you better not have been sitting near her, or you might find yourself bruised the following day.\u00a0 By the time she was six (6)<\/strong> months, if you held her upright on your lap, she would Jump<\/strong> and Jump<\/strong> and Jump<\/strong> and Jump!<\/strong>\u00a0 I remember, clear as yesterday, making the statement, \u201cShe IS a JUMPER!\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 With the OBVIOUS<\/strong> having been stated, soon after, she had a Jumping Seat<\/strong> that used to get hooked over the Door Opening<\/strong>, and she would JUMP <\/strong>for hours!\u00a0 So much so, we were concerned that she might pull it off the trim! \u2639<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 When she began Track & Field<\/strong> as a three (3)<\/strong> year old, she was like most Children<\/strong>, she wanted to Run<\/strong> and Jump<\/strong>.\u00a0 She thought the Sand Pit<\/strong> was custom made for her.\u00a0 If she wasn\u2019t Jumping<\/strong> in the Sand<\/strong>, she would sit and play in it while others were Jumping!<\/strong> \ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 When she was last in Greensboro<\/strong>, for the National Track & Field Championships<\/strong>, she wanted, DESPERATELY<\/strong>, to compete in the Triathlon<\/strong> (Shot Put, High Jump, 200m), but she was NOT<\/strong> old enough.\u00a0 It DID NOT<\/strong> stop her from working on her Skills<\/strong>, though, as every moment in the Hotel Room<\/strong> was used to Practice High Jump<\/strong> on the King Size Bed<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Well, for Arianna Mills<\/strong>, it paid off!\u00a0 In her first \u201cOfficial\u201d Competition<\/strong>, she cleared 1.00m<\/strong>.\u00a0 Just three (3)<\/strong> weeks later at the National Track & Field Championships<\/strong>, in Humble<\/strong>, TX<\/strong>, she cleared 1.15m<\/strong>.\u00a0 Quite the improvement over such a short period of time.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 In 2022<\/strong>, at the National Championships<\/strong> in Greensboro<\/strong>, she entered the High Jump<\/strong> as one (1)<\/strong> of her contested Individual Events<\/strong>.\u00a0 Her Starting Height<\/strong> was 1.15m!<\/strong> \ud83d\ude0a\u00a0 She cleared 1.20m<\/strong>, 1.25m<\/strong>, 1.30m!<\/strong>\u00a0 Although she cleared 1.35m<\/strong> in the Pentathlon<\/strong> (her PR<\/strong>), being at the venue for seven (7)<\/strong> hours awaiting her start time, took its toll, as it did on most of the competitors.\u00a0 Ranked 5th<\/sup><\/strong> coming in to the National Meet<\/strong>, we were certain she would have to clear 1.35m<\/strong> to move up, and that was correct.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Nonetheless, the 2nd<\/sup> Goal<\/strong> for each Meet<\/strong> is to get on the Medal Stand<\/strong>, and she accomplished that by taking 6th<\/sup> Place<\/strong>.\u00a0 Arianna<\/strong> is the 1st<\/sup> Country Mills Eagles Athlete<\/strong> to earn a Medal<\/strong> at the National Track & Field Championships<\/strong> in the High Jump!<\/strong>\u00a0 After all, \u201cWhat do Jumpin\u2019 Beans do?…\u00a0 They JUMP!\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
