\"\"<\/a>It was Hazy, Hot, and Humid, but it didn’t break the record heat of 95 degrees at the inaugural Constitution Classic of 2005 in Niskayuna.\u00a0But, the weather didn’t keep Brandon Mills\u00a0(Pictured Above) from breaking the 110m High Hurdles record in the Young Men’s division, with a time of 20.06.\u00a0That\u00a0makes two straight meets that Brandon has broken a meet record, as he set a new record in the Young Men’s 400m Dash at the Patriot’s Invitational.<\/p>\n

But the record breaking didn’t stop there!\u00a0It wasn’t until after 35 records fell that the meet came to a close.\u00a0Andrew Beck from Olympic Region Track\u00a0& Field Club dismantled a couple of two year old records, formerly held by Tim Holzhauer (formerly of the Country Mills Eagles), by setting a new mark in the Intermediate Boys 100m Dash with a time of 12.30, and the Long Jump with a leap of 5.76m.\u00a0Not to be overshadowed, Kayla Owens set two new Midget Girl records in the\u00a0Long Jump (3.96m) and the Shot Put (7.08m).\u00a0Jason Hewitt, who set the Patriot’s Invitational record in the Steeplechase, came back for more and set a new record in the same event for the Constitution Classic, but did so, after breaking the 800m record for\u00a0the Master’s Men (30 -34) with a\u00a0smoking 2:08.25.\u00a0Probably the most dramatic record of the day came early on when Master’s Men (35 – 39) Shot Putter, Richard Harrison of the Greater Boston Track & Field Club absolutely destroyed the previous record by more than\u00a03m, with a powerful put of 17.07m!<\/p>\n

Next up for the Empire State Liberty Tour Track & Field Series is the third stop, the President’s Open.\u00a0This meet\u00a0will host the Combined Events, as well as the regular meet schedule.\u00a0It will also be host to the first Signature Event, the Albert W. Mills Sr. 800m Run.\u00a0The meet will begin at 10:00 am with a brief Opening Ceremony, to present to his wife of more than 50 years, a\u00a0memory entitled, “In Honor Of”.\u00a0Be sure to make your way to this event and be a\u00a0part of the excitement, competition, fun, and the memories that are sure to encompass this Signature Event.<\/p>\n
