\"\"<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0When<\/strong> it comes to making a strong \u201cPresidential Run\u201d,<\/strong> most folks think of a political scenario where several candidates form campaigns, hire several staffers, raise an enormous amount of money for TV ads, Radio ads, and opportunities to destroy their political rival.\u00a0 And few would think of any relationship to the 100m High Hurdles\u2026except for perhaps\u00a0Max Comer from the Country Mills Eagles\u00a0(Pictured Above), who did not use any forms of media, didn\u2019t spend any time Fundraising, hired no additional help, but did manage to destroy his competition, as he is seen here\u00a0leading the pack early\u00a0in the 100m Midget Boy’s High Hurdles, as he catches the eyes of many spectators in attendance that day.\u00a0 In an effort to prove some versatility, and a command of his campaign on the track during the 6<\/span>th<\/sup>\u00a0Annual President\u2019s Open,\u00a0Max also\u00a0took 1st Place in the Midget Boy’s 200m Intermediate Hurdles, as well.\u00a0 Although is still needs a few years of maturity to be elgible to hold the High Office in the land,\u00a0as one must be at least 35 years of age,\u00a0Max is well on his way to make a case for his bid. \u00a0As this Presidential Campaign came to a close, more than 75 records were broken, of which more than 50% were Liberty Tour<\/strong> records. There were fantastic performances from all age divisions (Youth, Scholastic, Open, & Master\u2019s), and in a vast array of events. According to Executive Producer of the Liberty Tour<\/strong>, Anthony Mills, \u201cWe are now in our 6<\/span>th<\/sup>\u00a0season of the Liberty Tour<\/strong>, and we are a bit surprised to keep seeing so many records fall at each of the stops along the Tour.\u201d He adds, \u201cWith the Adirondack Championships<\/strong> up next on the Tour, it makes me wonder if this trend will continue. I sure hope so!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 As noted, the Adirondack Championships<\/strong>\u00a0are the next stop of the\u00a0Empire State Liberty Tour Track & Field Series<\/strong>. This is the first year that the Junior Olympic<\/strong> and Open & Master\u2019s Championships<\/strong> have been combined in the same meet. It should be interesting to see how this new schedule plays out. Be sure to make a point of being there, as you will not want to miss out on any of the Championship performances of 2010.<\/p>\n
