\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\"\"\u201cIt grew from necessity!\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0claims Anthony Mills, Executive Director\u00a0of the Empire State Spo<\/strong>rts Council<\/strong>.\u00a0 He continues, \u201cThe Outreach and Logistics became too much work, and took more time in a day than a couple of people could handle.\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0 He is referring to the Liberty Games<\/strong>, now the New State Games<\/strong>, going into their 7th<\/sup><\/strong> year.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Starting in late December the Empire State Sports Council<\/strong> (ES Sports<\/strong> for short) received\u00a0\u00a0109<\/strong> Applications for two (2) Assistant Event Coordinators<\/strong>.\u00a0 One for the Empire State Corporate Challenge<\/strong>, and the other for the Liberty Games<\/strong>.\u00a0 After more than 30<\/strong> days of a rigorous process that included reviewing each Resume<\/strong>, reviewing each Personality Test<\/strong>, administering Phone Interviews<\/strong>, reviewing each Applicant\u2019s Solutions<\/strong> on how to Develop <\/strong>and Expand<\/strong> the scope of the ES Sports Events<\/strong>, and Personal<\/strong> (Face to Face) Interviews<\/strong>, they landed an EAGLE!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0That IS<\/strong> correct!\u00a0 Well, he doesn\u2019t necessarily have feathers, but the balding process has begun just slightly. \ud83d\ude0a\u00a0 In addition, he hails from Philadelphia, PA<\/strong>, and is an ardent Eagles Fan!<\/strong>\u00a0 Good thing they won their 1st<\/sup> <\/strong>ever Super Bowl<\/strong> this year!\u00a0 Perhaps, ES Sports<\/strong> saw that as an omen.\u00a0 He is Tyler Sablyak!\u00a0 \u201cHe was professional, knowledgeable, intelligent, eager, and had been around the block a couple of times.\u201d<\/strong>, noted the President of ES Sports<\/strong>, Ken Rechnitzer.\u00a0 \u201cHe didn\u2019t search for the answers to questions when asked.\u00a0 He seemed to already have the solution.\u201d<\/strong>, Ken added.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0So, ES Sports<\/strong> was courteous enough to let him hang at home until the outcome of the Super Bowl<\/strong>.\u00a0 Four (4)<\/strong> days later he was on the job!\u00a0 Tyler oversees Basketball <\/strong>and Soccer <\/strong>directly, and assists with the coordination of each of the other Liberty Games<\/strong> events.\u00a0 What does Tyler think?\u00a0 \u201cGetting to join the Empire State Sports Council as the Liberty Games Event Coordinator was a great opportunity! The Liberty Games is such a UNIQUE and EXCITING event that incorporates so many different sports competitions. \u00a0I\u2019m so happy to be a part of a group that can provide opportunities for so many athletes to compete at a top level. \u00a0I look forward to helping grow the Liberty Games, and I can\u2019t wait for the events to start!\u201d
