\"\"\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The slogan that the Empire State Sports Council<\/strong> created when it first launched in August<\/strong> of 2011<\/strong> was \u201cES SPORTS, BRING YOUR GAME\u201d!<\/strong>\u00a0 The purpose for this phrase, because \u201cWords\u201d<\/strong> do have an impact, is to remind Athletes<\/strong> that when a competition is on the schedule, whether it is Basketball<\/strong>, Power Lifting<\/strong>, BMX Racing<\/strong>, Road Racing<\/strong>, Flag Football<\/strong>, or Track & Field<\/strong> (all of which are a part of the Liberty Games<\/strong>), be sure to come Mentally<\/strong>, Emotionally<\/strong>, and Physically<\/strong> prepared to give EVERYTHING!<\/strong>\u00a0 BRING YOUR GAME!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The Liberty Tour Championships<\/strong> which is the culmination of the Liberty Tour Track & Field Season<\/strong>, as well as the Track & Field<\/strong> competition of the Liberty Games<\/strong>, each year, was host to so many Athletes<\/strong> that took this slogan seriously, that we are unable to post all of them.\u00a0 In many cases, \u201cBring Your Game\u201d<\/strong> is NOT<\/strong> just about \u201cBreaking a Record\u201d<\/strong>, but more often about finishing the season with a new PR<\/strong>.\"\"<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Imani Pugh<\/strong> (Majistics) got to it right out of the Blocks<\/strong>\u2026 literally, with a DOMINATING 100m<\/strong> (Girl\u2019s 15-16) Hurdle Race!<\/strong>\u00a0 Although Marissa Fiacco<\/strong> (Country Mills Eagles) broke the Liberty Games Meet Record<\/strong>, it was overshadowed by Imani\u2019s<\/strong> time of 15.27<\/strong>, destroying the previous Liberty Tour Record<\/strong> of 16.31<\/strong> by Grace Adeyeye<\/strong> as recent as 2019<\/strong>.\u00a0 Imani<\/strong> also set a Liberty Games Record<\/strong> in the High Jump<\/strong> with a HUGE<\/strong> leap of 1.60m<\/strong>, passing by the previous Record<\/strong> of 1.50m<\/strong> set in 2017<\/strong> by Stephanie Graves\"\"<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Jumping<\/strong> into the <\/span>Record Books<\/strong> was <\/span>Ciena Lentz<\/strong> (Upstate Panthers) when she broke the previous <\/span>Liberty Games Women\u2019s Open<\/strong> (19-29) <\/span>Long Jump Record<\/strong> (3.98m) set in <\/span>2010<\/strong> by <\/span>Emily Mino<\/strong> (Country Mills Eagles) with a jump of <\/span>4.14m<\/strong>.\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Contesting the Heptathlon<\/strong>, Marissa Fiacco <\/strong>SHATTERED<\/strong> the Liberty Games Record<\/strong> of 2,570<\/strong> points in the Girl\u2019s<\/strong> (15-16) Heptathlon <\/strong>with a score of 2,952<\/strong> points, replacing former Country Mills Eagles Heptathlete, Naomi Davies<\/strong> who held that mark since 2017<\/strong>.\"\"<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Throwing her way into the Record Books<\/strong> was Karen Ellsworth<\/strong> (Norwich Bolts).\u00a0 She took 1st<\/sup> Place<\/strong> in the Women\u2019s<\/strong> (55-59) Javelin<\/strong>, but also set a new Liberty Games Record<\/strong> in the Long Jump<\/strong> with a mark of 2.70m<\/strong>, beating her previous Record<\/strong> of 2.05m<\/strong>.\u00a0 She also set a Liberty Tour Record<\/strong> in the Discus<\/strong> with a toss of 20.37m<\/strong> replacing the previous Record Holder<\/strong> (Karen Luzinas) who held that Record<\/strong> since 2013<\/strong> with a mark of 20.26m<\/strong>.\u00a0 In addition, she also broke her previous Record<\/strong> in the Triple Jump<\/strong> (4.48m) with a leap of 5.62m<\/strong>.\"\"<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 One of the more intriguing Record Performances<\/strong> of the day was by Arianna Mills<\/strong> in the Girl\u2019s<\/strong> (11-12) Pentathlon<\/strong>, when she CRUSHED<\/strong> the previous Liberty Tour Record<\/strong> of 1,658<\/strong> points set by Claire Howard<\/strong> in 2015<\/strong>, by amassing a total of 1,822<\/strong> points.\u00a0 In doing so, she also set a new Liberty Games<\/strong> or Liberty Tour Record<\/strong> in each of her Pentathlon Events<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
