{"id":644,"date":"2012-04-04T12:18:02","date_gmt":"2012-04-04T16:18:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/essportscouncil.org\/liberty-games\/?p=644"},"modified":"2012-04-20T09:59:52","modified_gmt":"2012-04-20T13:59:52","slug":"jason-morris","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/essportscouncil.org\/liberty-games\/post\/jason-morris\/","title":{"rendered":"Jason  Morris"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/essportscouncil.org\/liberty-games\/post\/jason-morris\/jasonheadshot-bio\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-645\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-645 aligncenter\" title=\"JasonHeadshot bio\" src=\"http:\/\/essportscouncil.org\/liberty-games\/files\/2012\/04\/JasonHeadshot-bio.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"555\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/span><strong style=\"color: #0000ff;\">JUDO Bio<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Jason Morris started\u00a0his Judo Journey in 1975 at the age of 8 and loved it immediately.\u00a0\u00a0He still does!\u00a0\u00a0He retired after\u00a0his\u00a04th appearance at the Olympics in 2000.\u00a0 He started coaching immediately following the 1996 Atlanta Olympics (his 3rd), and having students helped\u00a0him learn to love the sport all over again.\u00a0 Standing on the podium with a silver medal in 1992\u00a0has been\u00a0his career highlight so far.\u00a0 When asked what he seeks from teaching and coaching, Jason replies, &#8220;One day I hope to have one of my students stand on the podium getting a Gold.&#8221;\u00a0 He adds, &#8220;That&#8217;s what I work for today.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 After the 2000 Sydney Olympics the JMJC was officially in full swing aided immensely by\u00a0his partner and wife, Teri Takemori.\u00a0 As the JMJC came to life\u00a0he knew\u00a0his father, Bernie Morris, would have been extremely proud as he and\u00a0Jason had dreams of doing this together after he won the Silver medal in Barcelona.\u00a0 But tragically,\u00a0his Dad passed away nine (9) days after\u00a0Jason won the Silver Medal, and while he was on his way to the closing ceremonies.\u00a0 That fact alone helps\u00a0Jason honor\u00a0his father, and the world&#8217;s greatest sport every day.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Jason and Teri\u00a0have developed a terrific formula for building Champions, and enjoyed some immediate success as\u00a0their superstar athletes racked up Jr. National, National and International medals.\u00a0 As soon as you can, be sure to visit Jason at the Jason Morris Judo Center&#8230;maybe you will be the next Olympian?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Birthdate:<\/strong>\u00a0 2\/3\/67\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Born:<\/strong>\u00a0 Schenectady, NY\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Residence:<\/strong>\u00a0 Glenville, NY<\/p>\n<p><strong>Height:\u00a0 <\/strong>180cm (5&#8217;11&#8217;
