\"\"<\/a>America\u2019s Pastime Comes Home to the Liberty Games<\/h2>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0One might think that because Baseball has been considered for quite some time as America\u2019s Favorite Pastime, that organizing such an event would be the easiest to do.\u00a0 There is quite a lot of interest, and there are certainly thousands of teams, if not tens of thousands of teams statewide.\u00a0 Herein lies the biggest challenge, though, bringing them altogether on one page to accomplish a common goal.\u00a0 And, with patience and diligence, not only was the E<\/em><\/strong>mpire <\/em><\/strong>S<\/em><\/strong>tate Sports Council<\/em><\/strong> able to do so, but with a strong supporting cast, that is likely to make the Liberty Games, the \u201cSummer Place To Be\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0There will be at least three (3) Baseball venues, each of which is perfectly suited for the age division it will contest, and very much in the capable hands of those Baseball Committee members that are responsible for that venue.\u00a0 For instance Carmen Little League will be the Host site for the Baseball 10u, and Westland Hills will be the Host site for Baseball 12u.\u00a0 Frozen Ropes will be responsible for the 15u, 18u, and Open and Master\u2019s competitions, which will be played at Central Park in Schenectady.\u00a0 In our minds, this is a, \u201cThree (3) Run Homer\u201d, Executive Director Anthony Mills exclaims.\u00a0 He continues, \u201cIt is a pleasure to have such support from the communities in the Capital Region to back this favorite pastime.\u00a0 We look forward to a very exciting Baseball competition for the Liberty Games.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0The E<\/em><\/strong>mpire <\/em><\/strong>S<\/em><\/strong>tate Sports Council<\/em><\/strong> is pleased to announce Baseball as an Official Sport of the 2012 Liberty Games!\u00a0 If you are interested, and wish to compete for the State Title, you may now Register online by going to our website designed just for the games @ ; in fact, if you Register early you can qualify for special prizes (see Below).<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Because the Liberty Games are built around the concept of T-E-A-M (Together Everyone Achieves More), we would like to make a spot in each of the articles written, that will announce the arrival of each Sport, to impress upon you the importance of each of the individual Sport\u2019s Chairs, as they are critical in the effort to Bring Back the Games!\u00a0 The Baseball Sport\u2019s Chairs are Quentin Jensen and Brendan Roberts of Frozen Ropes, and they are joined by a very strong supporting cast, with Robert Carter and Mike Pusz from Carmen Little League, as well as Frank Russo and Mike Patnaud from Westland Hills, and their cooperation is every bit a TEAM effort.\u00a0 When asked about the Liberty Games being hosted in the Capital\/Saratoga Region, Quentin remarked, \u201cWe are very excited about being the host for the Baseball teams coming to the Liberty Games.\u00a0 Having them in our own backyard is both a pleasure and an honor.\u201d\u00a0 He adds, \u201cwe will do everything we can as a Baseball Committee to be worthy of being the host.\u201d<\/p>\n
