\"cameron-2\"<\/a>Patriot\u2019s Invitational 2014<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 One of the exciting trademarks of the Empire State Liberty Tour Track & Field Series<\/strong>, is the fact that Athletes of all ages can compete!\u00a0 <\/span>This provides opportunities for Young Athletes<\/strong> to mix it up with the more “Experienced” Athletes<\/strong> (that has a much better tone than “older” athletes).\u00a0 <\/span>I did not have a chance to compete this day, but I did have the luxury of Officiating, and there was a little man that just overwhelmed me with his eager approach to each of his events on this day.<\/p>\n

His name is Cameron Vining (Pictured Above)<\/em><\/strong>, and he is a new member of the Chatham Gold Track & Field Club<\/strong>.\u00a0 <\/span>The shear anticipation of getting on the runway for the Long Jump<\/strong>\u00a0was only surpassed by the excitement of landing in the sand at the other end!\u00a0 I<\/span>t took a couple of tries in the Turbo Javelin<\/strong>, as his energy level was so overflowing, that he struggled to contain himself at the arc of the Javelin Vector. \u00a0Nonetheless, he managed to get a Personal Record<\/strong> on the day!<\/p>\n

With a bit of a wet start to the early part of the 2014 Patriot’s Invitational<\/strong>, it didn’t seem to keep any of these Young Athletes from putting forth their very best effort, and having a GREAT<\/strong> time in doing so!\u00a0 <\/span>We quite often have taken these articles and used them as opportunities to showcase some Record Setting performances, but as a slight change up to that, we wanted to show the other side of the Liberty Tour Track & Field Series<\/strong> that gets past the competition, of which there was plenty at this Patriot’s Invitational<\/strong>.\u00a0 <\/span>Instead, we wanted to focus on the Fun<\/strong> and Excitement<\/strong> part, that sometimes gets lost inside the Competition<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
