\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\"\" It may sound a bit like double talk, and with 2018<\/strong> being the start of the 14th<\/sup> Liberty Tour Track & Field Series<\/strong>, it is rather surprising, to say nothing of amazing, to have such a HUGE<\/strong> number of \u201cRecords\u201d<\/strong> set at the Patriot\u2019s Invitational!<\/strong>\u00a0 It is ALWAYS<\/strong> one of the most well attended Liberty Tour Events<\/strong> each year, and the 2018<\/strong> version DID NOT<\/strong> disappoint!<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 With more than 61 Records Broken\/Set<\/strong>, the Patriot\u2019s Invitational<\/strong> shattered the previous number of Records Broken\/Set<\/strong> at a Liberty Tour Event<\/strong>, which was 54<\/strong>.\u00a0 \u201cMy Father said to me when I was a young boy, that \u2018Records were made to be broken\u2019, and I have NEVER thought differently.\u201d<\/strong>, stated Anthony Mills, Executive Director for the Empire State Sports Council<\/strong>, which produces the Liberty Tour Track & Field Series<\/strong> each year.\u00a0 He adds, \u201cIn fact, I look forward to how many, and how often, Records are Broken\/Set, even those with my name attached to it!\u201d<\/strong> \ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \"\"\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0One Record<\/strong> that was DESTROYED<\/strong> was the Youth Boy\u2019s Javelin<\/strong>, previously held by Jamie Cocca (Averill Park Road Runners) at 37.65m<\/strong>, but set by Chatham Gold\u2019s<\/strong> Tobias Jeralds (Pictured Above)<\/em><\/strong> at 40.90m!<\/strong>\u00a0 This performance also helped Chatham Gold<\/strong> in Team Scoring<\/strong>, as they edged out the Country Mills Eagles<\/strong> (Defending Liberty Tour Champions<\/strong> from 2017<\/strong>) by 33<\/strong> points for the Patriot\u2019s Invitational<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Also upsetting the Records<\/strong> was Taydence Morrison (In A NY Minute), who broke Gavin Warner\u2019s (Glencadia Bullets) 100m Dash Record<\/strong> (14.39) for Bantam Boy\u2019s<\/strong> (9-10), and setting the New Record<\/em><\/strong> at 14.18<\/strong> seconds!<\/p>\n

There are MANY MORE Records<\/strong>, but one that is interesting is the fact that it is the first time that the Javelin<\/strong> had to be contested \u201cUnder the Lights\u201d!<\/strong>\u00a0 There were so many Athletes<\/strong> entered in the various Throws<\/strong>, that the last couple of Flights of Javelin<\/strong> had to be contested with the assistance of Headlights<\/strong> from Vehicles!\"\"<\/strong><\/p>\n
