\"\"\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0The Constitution Classic<\/strong> is the 2nd<\/sup> Leg<\/strong> of the Liberty Tour Track & Field Series<\/strong>, and in 2018<\/strong> it was held at Norwich High School<\/strong>, which is the home of the Norwich Bolts Track & Field Team!<\/strong>\u00a0 Led by two (2) Record Setting Performances<\/strong> from Gabriel Gawronski (Pictured Above)<\/em><\/strong>, the son of Head Coach<\/strong> Shannon Gawronski, the Bolts<\/strong> scored more Points<\/strong> than the 2nd<\/sup> Place NY Starz<\/strong>, and the 3rd<\/sup> Place Country Mills Eagles<\/strong>, combined, to finished with 333 Points<\/strong>, catapulting them into 1st<\/sup> Place<\/strong> in the Liberty Tour Team Scoring<\/strong> for 2018!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 Gabe set the Constitution Classic Record<\/strong> in both the Boy\u2019s HJ<\/strong> (1.80m)\u00a0 and 400m Dash<\/strong> (51.22) to help the Bolts THUNDER<\/strong> into 1st<\/sup> Place<\/strong>, as the Liberty Tour<\/strong> heads to Taconic Hills High School<\/strong> on Sunday<\/strong>, June 10th<\/sup><\/strong> for the President\u2019s Open<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\"\"\u00a0 \u00a0 The NY Starz<\/strong> had their share of Record Setting Performances<\/strong>, too, as Abigail Charles set a Constitution Classic Record<\/strong> in the Midget Girl\u2019s 100m Dash<\/strong> with a time of 13.80<\/strong> seconds.\u00a0 \u201cThe NY Starz made the trip to Norwich from The City (New York City) to be a part of the Constitution Classic, and it appears that they made the best of that trip\u201d<\/strong>, noted Lisa Mills, Sr. Event Coordinator<\/strong> for the Empire State Sports Council<\/strong>.\u00a0 She continues, \u201cThis certainly changes the Team Scoring in ways that some may not have imagined when the Liberty Tour kicked off last week with the Patriot\u2019s Invitational, as it leaves the Defending 2017 Liberty Tour Champions (Country Mills Eagles Athletic Club) sitting currently in 3rd<\/sup> Place.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Next up on the Liberty Tour Track & Field Schedule<\/strong> is the President\u2019s Open<\/strong> on Sunday<\/strong>, June 10th<\/sup><\/strong> at Taconic Hills High School<\/strong>, and that will begin at 2:00 pm<\/strong>.\u00a0 The Adirondack Championships<\/strong> are the following week at Ichabod Crane High School<\/strong>, as the Glencadia Bullets<\/strong> will be the host for that event.\u00a0 In addition, the Team Scoring<\/strong> for the Adirondack Championships<\/strong> is \u201cweighted\u201d<\/strong>, which means that each Point Scored<\/strong> is worth 1.5 Points<\/strong>.\u00a0 Registration for both events is already open!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
