\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 On a day custom made for Track & Field<\/strong>, the Patriot\u2019s Invitational<\/strong> was, once again, the host for the Kickoff Event<\/strong> of the Liberty Tour Track & Field Series!<\/strong>\u00a0 At a meet filled with Eagles<\/strong>, Striders<\/strong>, Road Runners<\/strong>, Superstars<\/strong>, Bulldogs<\/strong>, and others, it was the Bullets <\/strong>(Glencadia Bullets) that came out on top.<\/p>\n

Superman was \u201cFaster than a Speeding Bullet, More Powerful than a Locomotive, and able to Leap Tall Buildings in a Single Bound!\u201d <\/strong>\u00a0The Glencadia Bullets<\/strong> did much the same at the Patriot\u2019s Invitational!<\/strong>\u00a0 One \u201cSpeedy Bullet\u201d<\/strong>, Gavin Warner, who currently holds the Midget Boy\u2019s 100m Record<\/strong> at the Patriot\u2019s Invitational<\/strong> took 1st<\/sup> Place<\/strong> in the 400m<\/strong> (1:08.62<\/strong>), this time, and 1st<\/sup> Place<\/strong> in the Long Jump<\/strong> with a leap of 4. 43m<\/strong> (Pictured Left<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

Not to be outdone, the Girls scored well, too, as Allison Flint took 1st<\/sup> Place<\/strong> in the Long Jump<\/strong> (4.48m<\/strong>), and a 1st<\/sup> Place<\/strong> in the Javelin Throw<\/strong> with a toss of 18.70m<\/strong> (Pictured Right<\/strong>), good enough for a New Patriot\u2019s Invitational Record<\/strong> for the Midget Girl\u2019s Division<\/strong>.\u00a0 Her sister, Kathryn did much the same by taking 1st<\/sup> Place<\/strong> in the Bantam Girl\u2019s Turbo Javelin<\/strong> (14.30m<\/strong>), and a 1st<\/sup> Place<\/strong> in the Shot Put<\/strong> (5.25m<\/strong>).\u00a0 In fact the Glencadia Bullets Girls<\/strong> took 1st<\/sup> Place<\/strong> in the Shot Put<\/strong> in four (4)<\/strong> different Girl\u2019s Divisions!<\/strong> \ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n

The tandem of Coltin Luckfield and Nathan Liga (Junior Boy\u2019s Division<\/strong>) took 1st<\/sup><\/strong> and 2nd<\/sup> <\/strong>in the 800m Run <\/strong>(Pictured Below), while Coltin also took 1st<\/sup> Place<\/strong> in the Long Jump<\/strong> (4.42m<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is critical to have Athletes score points in as many events as possible, and that includes points awarded for 2nd<\/sup>, 3rd<\/sup>, and 4th<\/sup> Place!\u201d<\/strong>, stated Lisa Mills, Senior Event Coordinator<\/strong> for the Empire State Sports Council<\/strong>.\u00a0 To that point, Kylie Brown took 1st<\/sup> Place<\/strong> in the 80m Hurdles<\/strong> for the Midget Girls<\/strong>, but also scored points in the High Jump<\/strong> taking 2nd<\/sup> Place<\/strong> with a jump of 1.27m<\/strong> (Pictured Below).\u00a0 Jessica Flint, Assistant Coach<\/strong> for the Glencadia Bullets<\/strong> noted, \u201c<\/strong>This was the very first meet for some of our athletes and we are excited that each of them contributed to the overall performance of the team.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

With a Final Score<\/strong> of 173 points<\/strong>, the Glencadia Bullets take their 1st<\/sup> Place<\/strong> position in the Liberty Tour Standings<\/strong> to the Constitution Classic<\/strong>, which is Saturday<\/strong>, June 1st<\/sup><\/strong>, at Herkimer High School<\/strong>, and begins at 2:00 pm.\u00a0 For all of the Results<\/strong> from the Patriot\u2019s Invitational<\/strong>,<\/a> just click \u201cResults\u201d<\/strong> from the Navigation Bar<\/strong>, then Patriot\u2019s Invitational<\/strong>.\u00a0 Click here to Register<\/strong> for the Constitution Classic.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n
