\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \"\" The World of Sports<\/strong> has a long history of over-achievers!\u00a0 These are Athletes <\/strong>that were assumed to be too tall, too short, too big, too little, too light, too heavy, and just about any combination of \u201cBox Labeling\u201d<\/strong> that under-achievers can imagine, that would keep them from Success!<\/strong> \u2639\u00a0 Spud Webb was too short to play in the NBA<\/strong>, and Sam Mills<\/strong> was too short and too small to play Linebacker <\/strong>in the NFL!<\/strong>\u00a0 Let us take a look at another Athlete <\/strong>that appears to be \u201ctoo small\u201d<\/strong> to compete, but this time the sport is Track & Field<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 On what was a BEAUTIFUL Day <\/strong>for Track & Field<\/strong> competition, the Constitution Classic<\/strong> was taken by Storm<\/strong>, but it wasn\u2019t a Hurricane<\/strong>, nor a Tornado<\/strong>.\u00a0 It wasn\u2019t even Thunder<\/strong> or Lightning!<\/strong>\u00a0 It was the Performance <\/strong>from a Small Eagle<\/strong> that DOMINATED<\/strong> the Record Books<\/strong>.\u00a0 Meet Jae-cion Boyd!<\/strong>\u00a0 As just a Young Man<\/strong> of 5<\/strong>, he set Records<\/strong> in all three (3)<\/strong> of his events, two (2)<\/strong> of which were Liberty Tour Records!<\/strong>\u00a0 He jumped (literally) right out of the gate (actually off the Take Off Board<\/strong>) to a Constitution Classic Record<\/strong> in the Primary Boy\u2019s Division<\/strong> with a mark 0f 2.36m<\/strong> (Pictured Above<\/em><\/strong>), passing Hunter Brown\u2019s jump (Glencadia Bullets<\/strong>) of 2.26m<\/strong>, which was set three (3)<\/strong> years ago in 2016<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \"\" Wasting no time stepping up his game, he CRUSHED<\/strong> the 100m Record<\/strong> for the Constitution Classic<\/strong>, previously held at 20.55<\/strong> seconds (his own standard from last year), but also the Liberty Tour Record<\/strong> by .75<\/strong> seconds, which was set by Darian Morrison (In a NY Minute<\/strong>) back in 2017<\/strong>.\u00a0 Jae-cion set the new standard at 17.17<\/strong> seconds!\u00a0 Remember, he is ONLY<\/strong> five (5)<\/strong> years old!<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 To cap off an incredible day, he also set a Liberty Tour Record<\/strong> in the 400m <\/strong>(1:33.98<\/strong>), passing the previous mark of 1:34.07<\/strong> set in 2014 by Marquise Dyson (Schenectady Superstars<\/strong>)!<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \"\"\u00a0\u00a0 According to Kay Breezey (Mom<\/strong>), \u201cJae-cion\u2019s work ethic comes from being the youngest of three (3), and his older Brother & Sister have been good role models for him, when it comes to Track & Field!\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0 She adds, \u201cHe is competitive, and determined!\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0 Head Coach of the Country Mills Eagles<\/strong> (Anthony Mills) agrees with Mom<\/strong> when it comes to Jae-cion\u2019s work ethic.\u00a0 \u201cWith all due respect, this Young Man works harder than most of the High School Athletes I coach.\u201d<\/strong>, stated Coach Mills.\u00a0 \u201cHis DESIRE to be the Best He Can Be makes me wonder if he has more than his fair share, and whether his abundance comes at the lack of it in so many others.\u201d<\/strong>, he continues.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 His Day of Record Performances<\/strong> helped his Team<\/strong> (Country Mills Eagles<\/strong>) take 1st<\/sup> Place<\/strong> at the Constitution Classic<\/strong> earning 160 Total Team Points<\/strong>, and moving them up to 2nd<\/sup> Place<\/strong> in the overall Liberty Tour Team Standings<\/strong>. \u00a0For all of the Results<\/strong> just click the link below.\u00a0 For all of the Constitution Classic Records<\/strong>, or the Liberty Tour Records<\/strong>,<\/a> click on \u201cRecords\u201d<\/strong> from the Navigation Bar<\/strong>, then the name of the Liberty Tour Meet<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
