\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Anagrams, at times, can be overused, cute, and difficult.\u00a0 In this case, though, it is ABSOLUTE TRUTH!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Seldom do folks think of Team<\/strong> when the sport of Track & Field<\/strong> is the topic of conversation, as we are often discussing the Individual Performance<\/strong> of a particular Sprinter<\/strong>, Thrower<\/strong>, or Jumper<\/strong>.\u00a0 However, when it comes to \u201cScoring\u201d<\/strong> in a Track & Field Meet<\/strong>, TEAM<\/strong> is EXACTLY<\/strong> what is needed.\u00a0 \u201cIt is difficult to \u2018WIN\u2019 on just 1st<\/sup> Place Finishes.\u201d<\/strong> States Anthony Mills, Executive Director<\/strong> for the Empire State Sports Council<\/strong>, which produces the Liberty Tour Track & Field Series<\/strong>.\u00a0 He continues, \u201cBeing able to score points in 2nd<\/sup>, 3rd<\/sup>, and 4th<\/sup>, is what secures a Team Win!\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 As the host for the President\u2019s Open<\/strong>, the Averill Park Road Runners<\/strong> did just that!\u00a0 They did take 1st<\/sup> Place<\/strong> in the Sub-Bantam Girl\u2019s 100m Dash<\/strong>, as Chelsea Lindow (Pictured Above<\/em><\/strong>) shows solid Sprint Form<\/strong> finishing with a time of 16.78<\/strong>, and scoring five (5)<\/strong> points for her Team<\/strong>.\u00a0 But her Teammates<\/strong>, Eleanor Busher and Eleanor Schabses took 2nd<\/sup> Place<\/strong> and 3rd<\/sup> Place<\/strong>, respectively, in the Midget Girl\u2019s 100m Dash<\/strong>, and their combined score was the same five (5)<\/strong> points.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0In the Bantam Boy\u2019s High Jump<\/strong>, Jackson Goodemote took <\/span>1st<\/sup> Place<\/strong>, while his <\/span>Teammate<\/strong>, Marcos Maciel took <\/span>2nd<\/sup> Place<\/strong>, combining for a total of eight <\/span>(8)<\/strong> points.\u00a0 As a <\/span>Team<\/strong>, the <\/span>Averill Park Road Runners<\/strong> took advantage of this <\/span>Te<\/strong>amwork<\/strong> to accumulate <\/span>244.50 points<\/strong>, taking <\/span>1st<\/sup> Place<\/strong> at the <\/span>President\u2019s Open<\/strong>, leaving <\/span>Chatham Gold<\/strong>, <\/span>Glencadia Bullets<\/strong>, and <\/span>Country Mills Eagles<\/strong> in a distant <\/span>2nd<\/sup><\/strong>, <\/span>3rd<\/sup><\/strong>, and <\/span>4th<\/sup> Place<\/strong>.\u00a0 Moreover, it bumps them into <\/span>3rd<\/sup> P<\/strong>lace<\/strong> in the overall <\/span>Liberty Tour Team Standings<\/strong> at the midway point of the <\/span>2019 Track & Field Season<\/strong>. So it is true that <\/span>Together Everyone Achieves More!<\/strong> \ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The Adirondack District Championships<\/strong> are up next on\u00a0the Liberty Tour Calendar<\/strong>, and the Points<\/strong> awarded for that Meet<\/strong> are worth 50%<\/strong> more than the previous Meets<\/strong>, so be sure to bring the entire Team<\/strong>, and earn as many points as you can!<\/p>\n
