Liberty Track Meet<\/p><\/div>\n

\u201c\u2026That among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness!\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0 This one of the most famous quotes from the Declaration of Independence<\/strong>, and it has been a driving FORCE<\/strong> in my life, of which the Liberty Tour Track & Field Series<\/strong> is just a part.\u00a0 I am unsure where \u201cBreaking Records\u201d<\/strong> falls when it comes to \u201cHappiness\u201d<\/strong>, but the Ladies <\/strong>exercised their FREEDOM<\/strong> to break many Records<\/strong> at the 2022 Independence Invitational @ Rensselaer High School!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sydnie Becker<\/strong> (Chatham Gold) had a banner day Sprinting<\/strong> into the Record Books<\/strong> with this 100m Dash<\/strong>, where she set a new Girl\u2019s<\/strong> (9-10) Independence Invitational Record<\/strong>, in that event, with a time of 15.64<\/strong>, overcoming the previous Record<\/strong> of 15.69<\/strong> set by Ana Adams<\/strong> in 2016<\/strong>.\u00a0 More \u201cHappiness\u201d<\/strong> came along when she broke the Girl\u2019s 200m Dash Record<\/strong> with an impressive time of 31.76<\/strong>, replacing the old Record<\/strong> of 33.30<\/strong> by Suzie Canetto<\/strong> in 2014<\/strong>.\u00a0 Sydnie took her \u201cHappiness\u201d<\/strong> even further by leaping into the Independence Invitational Records<\/strong> setting a new Girl\u2019s<\/strong> (9-10) Long Jump Record<\/strong> with a mark of 3.71m<\/strong>, passing over Suzie Canetto<\/strong>, once again, who held the Record<\/strong> with a distance of 3.38m<\/strong> since 2014<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Liberty Track Meet<\/p><\/div>\n

Also jumping into the Record Books<\/strong> for the Independence Invitational<\/strong> was Imani Pugh<\/strong> (Majistics) with a BIG Leap<\/strong> of 4.92m<\/strong>, breaking the previous Girl\u2019s <\/strong>(15-16) Long Jump Record<\/strong> of 4.06m<\/strong>, set by Taisie Harrington<\/strong> in 2014<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Liberty Track Meet<\/p><\/div>\n

Placing 2nd<\/sup><\/strong> in the Heptathlon<\/strong> at the Region I Championships<\/strong> to Imani Pugh<\/strong> (1st<\/sup> Place), Marissa Fiacco<\/strong> (Country Mills Eagles) set a new Girl\u2019s<\/strong> (15-16) Javelin Record<\/strong> with a toss of 23.90m<\/strong>, passing the Record <\/strong>(22.67m) set by a former Country Mills Eagles Athlete<\/strong> (Kyaira Coffin) in 2013<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Liberty Track Meet<\/p><\/div>\n

Bella Scott<\/strong> (Upstate Panthers) replaced one of the longest held Records<\/strong> of the Independence Invitational<\/strong> in the Girl\u2019s<\/strong> (15-16) 400m Dash<\/strong> when she posted a time of 1:07.o8<\/strong>, previously owned by Chloe Williams<\/strong> with a time of 1:10.43<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Record Setting Machine<\/strong>, Raiyah Patterson<\/strong> (Majistics) shuffled a few Independence Invitational Records<\/strong>, herself!\u00a0 With a time of 13.99<\/strong>, she took over the Girl\u2019s <\/strong>(11-12) 100m Dash<\/strong> from former record holder Lily Russo<\/strong> (In A NY Minute) who set the Record<\/strong> in 2015<\/strong> with a time of 14.32<\/strong>.\u00a0 Raiyah<\/strong> also bumped Amelia Canetto<\/strong> (30.49) from the Girl\u2019s<\/strong> (11-12) 200m Record Book<\/strong> when she flew by with a time of 29.58<\/strong>.\u00a0 \u201cSpeed Kills\u201d<\/strong>, so the saying goes, and Raiyah<\/strong> proved that on the Long Jump Runway<\/strong>, too, when she set a new Girl\u2019s<\/strong> (11-12) Long Jump Record<\/strong> of 4.71m<\/strong>, obliterating the previous Record<\/strong> of 4.10m<\/strong> set by Amelia Canetto<\/strong> in 2014<\/strong>.\u00a0 A rough day for Amelia!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Liberty Track Meet<\/p><\/div>\n

It was a GREAT MEET<\/strong> to be a Girl<\/strong> in the 15-16 Age Division<\/strong>, for sure, as Nassima Poinsette<\/strong> (Schenectady Superstars) shattered the previous Record<\/strong> (6:49.55) in the 1500m<\/strong>, held by Katherine Fottrell<\/strong>, by cruising to a time of 6:06.43<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
