\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 In the World<\/strong> of Sports<\/strong>, the SPEED<\/strong> of a Wide Receiver<\/strong> in Football <\/strong>will S-T-R-E-T-C-H<\/strong> a Defense<\/strong>, leaving many areas for the Offense<\/strong> to ATTACK<\/strong>, to say nothing of the likelihood of an increased number of Touchdowns<\/strong> scored.\u00a0 In Track & Field<\/strong>, SPEED<\/strong> means that the FASTER Athlete WINS<\/strong> the Race<\/strong> on the Track<\/strong>, but it also means that the Faster Athlete<\/strong> on the Long Jump Runway<\/strong> is likely to Jump <\/strong>further, just as the Athlete<\/strong> that Spins Faster<\/strong> in the Discus Circle Throws<\/strong> the Discus <\/strong>further.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 At the Patriot\u2019s Invitational<\/strong>, the 1st<\/sup> Leg<\/strong> of the Liberty Tour Track & Field Series<\/strong>, SPEED <\/strong>was a KEY<\/strong> component of the many RECORDS<\/strong> set!\u00a0 Dominating the Girl\u2019s <\/strong>(11-12) 100m & 200m<\/strong> was Imani Pierce<\/strong> (Schenectady Superstars) who set a New Patriot\u2019s Invitational Record<\/strong>, as well as a New Liberty Tour Record<\/strong> in the 100m<\/strong> with a time of 13.47<\/strong>, SMASHING<\/strong> the previous Record <\/strong>of 13.82<\/strong> and 13.56<\/strong>, respectively, held by Nastaja Johnston<\/strong> since 2009!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Keygan Newman<\/strong> (Majistics) had something to say about the Boy\u2019s<\/strong> (13-14) 100m<\/strong>, 200m<\/strong>, and 400m Sprints<\/strong>, as he managed to set a New Patriot\u2019s Invitational Record<\/strong> in each Event!<\/strong>\u00a0 His time of 58.47<\/strong> eclipses the previous Record <\/strong>of 60.41<\/strong> held by Samuel Sterantino<\/strong> since 2018<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"\"\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 In the Open Men\u2019s Division<\/strong>, Jamai Woodbury<\/strong> (Boston North Track Club) overtook the 100m Record<\/strong> for the Patriot\u2019s Invitational<\/strong>, set by Steven Benedict<\/strong> at 11.14<\/strong>, back in 2007<\/strong>, by posting a time of 11.10<\/strong>.\u00a0 Every Hundredth<\/strong> of a Second Counts! <\/strong>\ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Jumping his way into the Record Books<\/strong> was Ryan Antalek<\/strong> (Glencadia Bullets) setting a New Patriot\u2019s Invitational Record<\/strong> in the Boy\u2019s<\/strong> (13-14) High Jump<\/strong> by clearing 1.74m<\/strong>, just 1 <\/strong>centimeter higher than the previous Record<\/strong> of 1.73m<\/strong> set in 2008<\/strong> by both Colt Duppen<\/strong> and Eric Bode!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nOld Man Jacob Goodrich<\/strong> (Chatham Gold) set a New Patriot\u2019s Invitational Record<\/strong> in the Boy\u2019s<\/strong> (9-10) 800m<\/strong> with a Run <\/strong>of 2:46.19<\/strong>, leaving Hunter Doolittle\u2019s<\/strong> time of 2:53.04<\/strong>, back in 2018<\/strong>, in the dust!<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Conversely, a Young Lady<\/strong> by the name of Claudia Torre<\/strong> set a New Masters Women\u2019s Record<\/strong> (65-69) in the 100m <\/strong>with a time of 17.46<\/strong>, CRUSHING<\/strong> the previous Liberty Tour Record<\/strong> of 21.45<\/strong> set by Kathleen Balthazar Heitzmann<\/strong> in 2008!<\/strong>\u00a0 Age is Just a Number!\"\"<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 No stranger to Records<\/strong>, Jae-cion Boyd<\/strong> (Country Mills Eagles), once again, leaps in to the Record Books<\/strong> in the Boy\u2019s <\/strong>(9-10) Long Jump<\/strong> with a mark of 4.38m<\/strong>, just passing by his Teammate<\/strong>, Taydence Morrison<\/strong>, who held the previous Record<\/strong> at 4.35m<\/strong> since 2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 In an attempt to keep pushing the boundaries of Age Defying Performances<\/strong>, Anthony Mills Jr.<\/strong> fell just .19m<\/strong> short of his PR<\/strong> (51.94m) in the Javelin<\/strong> back when he was just 18<\/strong> years of age, setting a New Liberty Tour Record<\/strong> in the Men\u2019s<\/strong> (35-39) Javelin <\/strong>with a toss of 51.75m<\/strong>, knocking down the previous Record<\/strong> of 50.30m<\/strong> by Dejan Maksimovic<\/strong> set back in 2011<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
