NORTH TRACK CLUB IS COMING!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the evening of <strong>April 18, 1775<\/strong>, Dr. Joseph Warren summoned <strong>Paul Revere<\/strong> and gave him the task of riding to Lexington, Massachusetts, with the news that <strong>British Soldiers<\/strong>, stationed in <strong>Boston<\/strong>, were about to march into the countryside, <strong>Northwest <\/strong>of the town.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Paul Revere<\/strong> then contacted a friend, Robert Newman, the sexton of <strong>Christ Church<\/strong> in <strong>Boston\u2019s North End<\/strong>, and instructed him to hold two <strong>(2)<\/strong> lit <strong>Lanterns<\/strong> in the <strong>Tower<\/strong> of <strong>Christ Church<\/strong> (now called the <strong>Old North Church<\/strong>) as a predetermined signal to fellow <strong>Sons of Liberty<\/strong> across the <strong>Charles River<\/strong>, that the <strong>British Troops<\/strong> planned to <strong>Row \u201cby Sea\u201d<\/strong> across the <strong>Charles River<\/strong> to <strong>Cambridge<\/strong>, rather than <strong>March \u201cby Land\u201d<\/strong> out <strong>Boston Neck<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It was more than a decade before the <strong>Constitution <\/strong>would be signed, but it was the beginning of a <strong>Movement<\/strong>, which is known as <strong>America!<\/strong> \ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-5700\" src=\"http:\/\/essportscouncil.org\/liberty-tour\/files\/2023\/06\/Garcia-100m-002-600x567.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"567\" srcset=\"http:\/\/essportscouncil.org\/liberty-tour\/files\/2023\/06\/Garcia-100m-002-600x567.jpg 600w, http:\/\/essportscouncil.org\/liberty-tour\/files\/2023\/06\/Garcia-100m-002-400x378.jpg 400w, http:\/\/essportscouncil.org\/liberty-tour\/files\/2023\/06\/Garcia-100m-002-768x726.jpg 768w, http:\/\/essportscouncil.org\/liberty-tour\/files\/2023\/06\/Garcia-100m-002.jpg 1645w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/>Perhaps, in similar fashion, the <strong>Boston North Track Club<\/strong> is making their case at the <strong>Liberty Tour<\/strong>, as they overcame the <strong>Country Mills Eagles<\/strong> to win the <strong>Constitution Classic!<\/strong>\u00a0 It was <strong>NOT Paul Revere<\/strong> leading the way, but their <strong>Head Coach<\/strong> and <strong>Elite Sprinter, Melique Garcia<\/strong>, who set a <strong>New Constitution Classic Record <\/strong>in the <strong>Open Men\u2019s<\/strong> <strong>100m<\/strong> with a time of <strong>10.82<\/strong>, replacing himself from <strong>2022<\/strong>, when he posted a time of <strong>10.91!<\/strong>\u00a0 Moreover, he also set a <strong>New Constitution Classic Record<\/strong> in the <strong>200m<\/strong> (22.90) leaving <strong>Mark Silverman\u2019s<\/strong> time of <strong>24.07<\/strong> in the dust, from back in <strong>2007!<\/strong>\u00a0 Who needs a <strong>Horse<\/strong> to make <strong>Good Time?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-5702\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/>One of the newest <strong>Teams <\/strong>to join the <strong>Liberty Tour<\/strong> is <strong>Nova Elite<\/strong>, and although fewer in numbers, at this point, <strong>Malachi Young<\/strong> made quite a bit of noise when he torched the previous <strong>Constitution Classic Boy\u2019s (17-18) 110m Hurdle Record<\/strong> by <strong>Sam Smith<\/strong> of <strong>17.07<\/strong>, back in <strong>2010<\/strong>, with a blistering time of <strong>15.61<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large Certificate<\/strong> is the <strong>Glencadia Bullets<\/strong>, and their <strong>Boy\u2019s (15-16) 4 x 100m Relay Team <\/strong><strong>CRUSHED<\/strong> the previous <strong>Constitution Classic Record<\/strong> of <strong>54.15<\/strong> held by the <strong>Country Mills Eagles<\/strong>, with a <strong>Cruisin\u2019 Time<\/strong> of <strong>48.53<\/strong>, anchored by <strong>Parker McCollum<\/strong>, who also set a temporary <strong>New Constitution Classic Record<\/strong> in the <strong>100m<\/strong>, until it was beaten in the <strong>Finals<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img Relay Team<\/strong> set a <strong>New Constitution Classic Record<\/strong> in the <strong>4 x 100m Relay<\/strong> with a time of <strong>60.60<\/strong> eclipsing their previous <strong>Record
