\"\" For those that possess a DREAM<\/strong>, or have experienced SUCCESS<\/strong>, you have discovered several things\u2026<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. There is NO<\/strong> such thing as \u201cOvernight Success\u201d!<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. It is VITAL<\/strong> to Make Progress<\/strong>, Each Day<\/strong> towards your Dream!<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Progress<\/strong> usually happens in small increments over a period of time \u201cInch by Inch, It\u2019s a Cinch!\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. PERSEVERANCE<\/strong> IS KEY!<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    In the early Spring<\/strong> of 2023<\/strong> George Kraus was asked, \u201cIf you could attain Track & Field Success, being in the Top 20 in the Nation as a Decathlete, would that be of any interest to you?\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0 His reply\u2026 \u201cYES\u201d!<\/strong><\/p>\n

    He was warned that the process would take Hard Work<\/strong> in the Weight Room<\/strong>, at the Track<\/strong>, on the Runways<\/strong>, in the Circles<\/strong>, and the Pits!<\/strong>\u00a0 There would be times of Disappointment<\/strong>, Frustration<\/strong>, Excitement<\/strong>, and Elation<\/strong>, but if he FOCUSED<\/strong> on the GOAL<\/strong>, he WOULD Attain It!<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \"\"<\/p>\n

    In 2023<\/strong>, George finished DEAD LAST<\/strong> in the Decathlon <\/strong>at the National Track & Field Championships<\/strong> out of 35 Athletes!<\/strong>\u00a0 For many, that would be DEVASTATING!<\/strong>\u00a0 For George, it made him HUNGRY!<\/strong>\u00a0 When the National Track & Field Championships<\/strong> came around in July<\/strong> of 2024<\/strong>, George had made his way onto the Medal Stand<\/strong>, for the Decathlon!<\/strong><\/p>\n

    It was the Daily Grind<\/strong> that Athletes <\/strong>face during the Off-Season<\/strong>, coupled with the Training <\/strong>during the Track & Field Season<\/strong> moves the \u201cPR Needle\u201d<\/strong>, if you will.\u00a0 The Rensselaer Pole Vault Record<\/strong> had stood for years at 12\u2019!<\/strong>\u00a0 In June<\/strong> of 2024<\/strong> George broke that Record<\/strong> clearing a height of 12\u2019 6\u201d!<\/strong>\u00a0 Exciting, while it lasted for about five (5)<\/strong> minutes, until his cousin, Seth, broke George\u2019s Record<\/strong> by clearing a height of 13\u2019!<\/strong> \u2639<\/p>\n

    \"\"<\/p>\n

    What a Difference<\/strong> a Year Makes!<\/strong>\u00a0 With Consistent<\/strong> Practice<\/strong> through November<\/strong> (outdoors), as well as several months Indoors<\/strong>, and LOTS<\/strong> of Rain<\/strong>, Wind<\/strong> , and Cold<\/strong> during the Spring Track & Field Season<\/strong> of 2025<\/strong>, the Vault<\/strong> began to CLICK<\/strong>, after a near DEBACLE <\/strong>at the Queensbury Invitational<\/strong>, where he nearly MISSED<\/strong> three (3) Attempts<\/strong> at a mere 11\u2019!<\/strong> \u2639\u00a0 Not only did he WIN 1st<\/sup> Place<\/strong> at the Queensbury Invitational<\/strong>, but has since taken 1st<\/sup> Place<\/strong> at the Schuylerville Invitational<\/strong>, meeting the State Qualifying Standard<\/strong> of 13\u2019 9\u201d<\/strong>, clearing a HUGE PR<\/strong> at Rensselaer <\/strong>on Senior Night<\/strong> with a Vault <\/strong>of 14\u2019 6\u201d<\/strong>, 1st<\/sup> Place<\/strong> at the Patroon Championships<\/strong> with 14\u2019<\/strong> (more Rain), 1st<\/sup> Place<\/strong> at the Section II Championships<\/strong> when he cleared the same height, and 1st<\/sup> Place<\/strong>, once again, at the State Qualifiers<\/strong> at Shenendehowa, and just barely missing at 15\u2019!<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \u201cHe is just getting Started!\u201d<\/strong>, noted Head Coach<\/strong>, Anthony Mills!\u00a0 He added, \u201cThere is plenty of Track & Field left to the 2025 Season, which will culminate at the National Track & Field Championships in Texas, in late July, where he hopes to grace the Medal Stand for the Decathlon, as well as Pole Vault!\u00a0 The ECITEMENT still lies ahead!\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \u00a0<\/strong>At this point, only George knows what he is going to accomplish, but as long as he follows the Road Map<\/strong> to Success<\/strong>, it IS<\/strong> there for the taking!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
