The Liberty Games<\/strong> was supposed to be the final Meet<\/strong> for the 20th<\/sup> Anniversary<\/strong> of the Liberty Tour Track & Field Series<\/strong>, as it has been since 2012!<\/strong>\u00a0 To our surprise, late last week, we were notified by the Facility<\/strong> that the Construction Company<\/strong> handling the Exterior Work<\/strong> to the High School<\/strong> doesn\u2019t want to deal with \u201cTraffic\u201d<\/strong> once the School Year<\/strong> ended, which was last Thursday!<\/strong> \u2639<\/p>\n

With the Empire State Sports Council<\/strong> hosting the Region I Track & Field Championships<\/strong> June 25th<\/sup> -28th<\/sup><\/strong>, we were NOT<\/strong> in a position to search for an alternate site, last week.\u00a0 We tried to do so on Monday \u2013 Thursday<\/strong> of this week, but with school out, and this being the 4th<\/sup><\/strong> of July<\/strong> week, finding any \u201cDecision Makers\u201d<\/strong> has been a difficult task!<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, for the 1st<\/sup> <\/strong>time in the 20 years<\/strong> of the Liberty Tour<\/strong>, we are forced to CANCEL<\/strong> a Meet!<\/strong> \u2639\u00a0 We DO Apologize<\/strong> for the inconvenience, but without a Facility<\/strong>, we are unable to have the Liberty Games Championships<\/strong> in 2026!<\/strong>\u00a0 Nonetheless, we will notify you of the Liberty Tour Schedule<\/strong> for 2027<\/strong>, which is available in January<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Event Fees: <\/strong>\u00a0Youth divisions: $25; Adult divisions: \u00a0$35- first 2 events + $5\/each additional event. Triathlon\/Pentathlon – $25; Heptathlon, Decathlon, Weight Pentathlon – $35.<\/p>\n

Registration Deadline<\/strong>:\u00a0 Thursday, July 16, 2026, 1pm\u00a0 NO DAY OF MEET REGISTRATION<\/p>\n

Rules of Play<\/strong>:\u00a0 USA Track & Field 2024 rulebook<\/span><\/p>\n

Eligibility<\/strong>:\u00a0 USATF membership is not required.\u00a0 Youth divisions\u00a012 and younger allowed up to three events; Youth divisions 13 and older are allowed up to four events.\u00a0 Relays do not count towards the event limit.<\/p>\n

Age Divisions<\/strong>:\u00a0 Age is determined by birth year for all youth divisions; day of meet age for open and masters. \u00a0Age divisions are:\u00a0\u00a0Primary (2020+); Sub Bantam (2019-2018); Bantam (2017-2016); Midget (2015-2014); Youth (2013-2012); Junior (2011-2010);Senior (2009-2008), and those who are still 18 up to August 8, 2026; Open, 19-29; Masters, 30+. \u00a0Masters are grouped by 5 yr. age divisions.<\/p>\n

Track Events<\/strong>: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m, 5000m, 80m HH, 100m HH, 110m HH, 200m IH, 400m IH, 1500m RW, 3000m RW, 4×100, 4×400, 4×800.\u00a0 \u00a0Relays will declare at clerking tent.<\/p>\n

Field Events<\/strong>:\u00a0 \u00a0Pole Vault, High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put, Discus Throw, Turbo Javelin Throw, Javelin Throw.\u00a0 There will be no implement inspection.<\/p>\n
