Presidents of the Future

It is not certain that they will ever run for President, but it is certain that these four boys have a very bright future in Track & Field. It was a picture perfect day for the President’s Open (the third stop of the Empire State Liberty Tour) at Queensbury High School on Saturday, June 16, 2007.

For the first time, the Empire State Liberty Tour hosted the Empire State Trials as part of the meet series. “It was the perfect fit!”, states Executive Producer of the Empire State Liberty Tour, Anthony Mills. He adds, “We spent quite a bit of time putting this meet together in order to make it a great fit for both the Liberty Tour, and the Empire State Trials. We had a few challenges to overcome, but it is obvious to me, based upon the incredible amount of positive feed back of notes, e-mails, and phone calls, that everyone enjoyed the event!” Dave Herrington, a representative for the Empire State Trials, exclaimed, “This is exactly the way we wanted it to be! This is such an improvement over the past few years. The athletes seemed excited about the spectators in the stands (something sorely lacking from the past decade for the trials), music to compete by, and an atmosphere of intense competition. This is the finest registration numbers we’ve seen for the Empire State Trials in years! There is no doubt that the promotion and coordinated effort of the Liberty Tour made all of the difference!

There were so many records broken for this meet that we could not possibly list them all on this page, but you can check all of them out by clicking on “Records” from the navigation bar from the Home Page. We hope you enjoy these moments that were captured on a truly wonderful day for competition.
