REGION I CHAMPIONSHIPS… A CAPITAL IDEA!

The AAU Region I Track & Field Championships are coming to the Capital Region in 2023! This Championship Meet is the Qualifying Meet to advance to the AAU National Championships set for Drake University in Des Moines, IA in late July. The Empire State Sports Council (ES Sports for short) will be the Host Organization for the Event, which will be at Shenendehowa High School beginning Thursday, June 29th through Sunday, July 2nd.

To qualify for the Region I Championships, Athletes MUST attend their AAU District Championships, and place in the top six (6) positions, in their Age Division, for each Event! Athletes from Ages 6 – 99 are allowed to compete, so if you are an Open or Master’s Athlete, be sure to get this Date in your Calendar! 😊
