Crickett Thomas-O’Dell

Crickett Thomas-O’Dell has been involved in basketball for a very long time.  She began playing at a young age, played at the varsity high school level and at the collegiate level.  She began coaching basketball when her daughter was in 4th grade and continued to do so until her daughter joined a nationally ranked AAU basketball team.  Crickett then began her officiating career in basketball and has been blowing the whistle for almost 15 years as a member of the Capital District Board of Women’s Basketball Officials.  She is the Vice President of the Clifton Park Girls Basketball organization, the Vice President of the Saratoga Sparks Girls AAU organization, the Secretary of the Capital District Girls Basketball League and a member of the NYS Public High School Athletic Association Girls Basketball State Championships Media Committee.  When not involved in a basketball event, Crickett can be found officiating volleyball, at the karate dojo, at her church or home with her husband of 27 years Dennis O’Dell.  Their daughter Brianna (Bre) O’Dell was an outstanding basketball player at Shenendehowa High School (Class of 2007) and also at Rochester Inst. Of Technology.
