CHRISTMAS RUSH… Just Around the Corner

I am always amazed at how fast time passes by!  One day it is 85 degrees and then it is snowing 48” (if you live in South Dakota, anyway).  Can you imagine that much snow in the first week of October?  NOT! Nonetheless, it will be here soon enough, and that means that the Holiday Season is just around the corner.  I suspect that all of the mall stores have begun playing Christmas Carols as all of the decorations and Winter apparel have been placed on the shelves.

However, we have been diligent in trying to secure dates and locations for the Winter Express Indoor Track & Field Series, and the Christmas Rush is in place!  That is correct…unless it is changed unexpectedly!  The Christmas Rush will be held on Sunday, December 1st @ the SEFCU Arena on the UAlbany campus, and will begin at 2:00 pm!

There will also be a Rising Stars Sprint Clinic beginning at 12:00 pm that will finish up at 1:00 pm.  There will be two (2) separate classes; Beginners, which are those that have no ‘Sprinting” experience (relative to biomechanical form), and Intermediates; those that have had some training.  This means you are fast, but have not discovered that “Sprinting” is a form all its own, and is not just “running fast”.

Registration for the Rising Stars Sprint Clinic is FREE to all ES Sports Members.  The cost for Non ES Sports Members is $10 in advance, and $15 the day of the Clinic.  In addition, all ES Sports Members receive a 10% discount on all Registration Fees for the Winter Express and Liberty Tour events.  You can purchase an ES Sports Membership by visiting our website at, then click “Become A Member” in the top right corner of the Home Page.  You will need to have your Member ID# prior to Registering for the event, so that it can automatically discount the Registration Fee online.

Registration Forms for the Rising Stars Sprint Clinic and the Christmas Rush are available online at the website.  We look forward to having each of you join us for an exciting event to kick off the Christmas Season!
